Her character is the true protagonist; her entrance sets the story in motion, not to mention the other's neuroses and devious plans. It's easy to see why Tommy falls for her so quickly. Sherrie's gifts for playing both humor and pathos remarkably are evident in her performance. She identifies with her character being an intelligent, strong, dynamic woman herself.
